How To Fix iOS 5 Battery Life Drain On iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad [Guide]


We reported you yesterday that iOS 5 users reached 4 million user according to apple's last statistic. These users who updated their devices to iOS 5 complained of decreased battery life and this problem appeared with iPhone, iPod and iPad devices. This problem is called battery drain and here in this post we will show you how to fix this problem after the jump.



Step By Step Guide To Fix Short Battery Life for ( iPhone - iPod - iPad ) :
Tip 1: Reset Network Settings
Tap on “Settings” > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Tip 2: Disable Bluetooth
Settings > General > Bluetooth > “OFF”

Tip 3: Disable Notifications & Apps in Notification Center
Settings > Notifications > Turn OFF for anything you don’t need

Tip 4: Disable iCloud

Settings > General > iCloud > Turn everything to OFF

Tip 5: Disable Location Services
Settings > Location Services > Disable selectively for services you don’t use

Tip 6: Disable Time Zone Adjustment
Tap on “Settings” > “Location Services” > ‘System Services’ > Setting Time Zone to OFF

Tip 7: Disable Ping
Settings > General > Restrictions > Enable Restrictions > Ping > OFF

Tip 8: Disable Diagnostic & Usage Reports
Tap on “Settings” > General > About > Diagnostic & Usage > Don’t Send

Tip 9: Delete eMail Accounts, Reset Network Settings, Re-add eMail Accounts
Delete your email accounts by going to “Settings” > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Account Name > Delete Account
Now Reset Network Settings in “Settings > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Tip 10: Reboot the iOS device
Re-add email accounts back in “Settings” > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account
