According To Analyst, Apple May Sell 46 Million iPhone Units In The Current Quarter

Apple revealed some time ago that in its last fiscal quarter has sold over 60 million units of the iPhone around the world. The number was quite high, mainly because they were a few months after the release of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The new top of the line came to consumers, and as always, caused kilometer queues on the company's unique shops located in various countries around the world.

In this quarter the number may be slightly lower, according to new information from the analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray company, Apple may sell 46 million iPhones next quarter. If the analysis is implemented, will be an increase of 35 million devices compared to results for the same quarter last year.

Based on the economic and of the current quarter Apple market information, Munster is anticipating the direction the company should take in the coming months, and states that from April to June will be 46 million iPhone units sold. The number is greater than he had previously thought, his old projection was 41 million.

In a note published on Monday (27/4), Munster said that the number of the company's smartphones sold between January and March suggest that now Apple has a growth of 18% revenue, compared with 16% of last year; the number began to grow very soon after the launch of the iPhone 6 in September 2014.

Probably the company will not achieve the result of the last quarter of 2014 with 75 million iPhones sold worldwide. It certainly was the most profitable quarter in the company's history, however, can come close and even beat your own record when releasing another new iPhone model.

"We believe the iPhone unit of force is another sign that the iPhone 6 cycle was essential considering the previous updates, given the increase in screen size. If you look at the high-end smartphone market, the iPhone recipe is the more pronounced, "said Munster.

While the numbers are great for Apple, it shows that Apple's profits have become extremely dependent on the iPhone. Even more than iPad sales continue to decline more and more; the US company need to ensure that your most valuable product continues resulting in profit in the smartphone market.
